Battle of the Books

Inspired by their ultra-competitive final round in last year’s Battle of the Books competition, Harper & Amelia are determined to lead their teams to victory this year. However, when their personal lives invade their practices, their books come to life, and a secret society bans their list of books, the teams must fight to keep the competition going.

CURRENTLY

Battle of the Books will have a workshop production with New Albany High School in Ohio on October 17 & 18, 2025, at 7:00pm. Elliott Lemberg directs the production, which features 18 students.

DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

Battle of the Books debuted at Andy’s Summer Playhouse in Wilton, NH, from July 25 - August 2, 2025. The production featured a cast of 22 young theatermakers directed by Emily Bubeck. The production was stage managed by Matthew McCarthy, Mickey McNiss, & Josie Dumont, with set design by Nick Hahn, lighting design by Peter Liebold, and sound & projections design by Emery Frost.
